Man hit by ST bus luggage box door, dies - Times of India

Thane: A man strolling down a street in Thane died after he was hit by the open door of the luggage cabin of the state-run Shivneri bus, on Saturday evening, the police said. The deceased, Shivaji Irule (52), a Thane resident, was hit by the open door bus which was accidentally left open by the crew.
The police said the driver, M Walke (42) was driving the bus rashly and had failed to ensure the luggage cabin door was locked properly. The door hit Irule, injuring him severely. He died at a hospital. The bus driver has been booked but no arrest made. —Manoj Badgeri
