Away announced a new collaboration with actress, frequent traveler, and friend of the brand, Rashida Jones, and the pieces are sure to be on travelers’ holiday wish lists this year.
The new items, which range from mirror finished-suitcases to a set of colorful packing cubes, are all inspired by Jones’s deep connection to her home of Ojai, California. The colorways for her hardshell luggage include an eye-catching, shiny copper and au-courant blue ombré (a first for Away), both of which are lined in an eggplant-colored fabric with red accents. The coordinating set of four purple luggage cubes is designed to work with Away suitcases’ compression system, making packing even bulky items, like winter sweaters or thick, cozy socks, a breeze.
The limited-edition collection also includes new personal items for the brand, including a duffel, belt bag, and tablet case. All feature a mix of canvas and vegan leather in a rich brown shade dubbed Sienna, as well as smartly designed pockets for easy organization.

Courtesy AwayThe Duffle ($225)—slightly bigger than Away's The Everywhere Bag, but smaller than The Weekender—has a large zip-top opening that's perfect for packing large items, as well as a hidden exterior zip pocket for quick access to items like boarding documents. It also features a 15-inch padded laptop pocket and seven other interior pockets to stash everything from earphones to socks. And of course, as the brand is famous for, it easily attaches to any Away suitcase with a handy trolley slip on the back.
The Belt Bag ($125) is arguably the brand’s trendiest item to date, with removable half-moon and circular pouches, as well as a fire engine-red decorative tassel. Its small size belies its carrying capability however: interior pockets include card slots and enough room for your phone. And, an adjustable belt means you can wear it around your waist or slung cross-body.
Lastly, type A travelers will love The Tablet Case ($95). When zipped, it’s as sleek as an oversized clutch, but the interior is basically a portable work station. There is a special pocket for your tablet, of course, but also slots for cards, a passport, and phone; loops for pens; and an interior zippered pocket for anything you don’t want ending up on the bottom of your carry on (looking at you, ear plugs). The case is also designed to fit into the laptop sleeve of any Away bag, for an added layer of protection.
